2010 is the year that SEO at long last became a familiar expression used in marketing circles, and is now an everyday strategy utilized by corporations wishing to lift their website’s rankings. However, only a few years ago, search engine optimization was frowned upon as an unethical practice. And nowadays, how matters have altered: now SEO needs a wider group of talents in ethical areas : composing compelling content, campaigning for a website via social networks, and encouraging others to link to your site (by writing great and/or controversial content that gains links from other websites).
Bing, Google, Yahoo! and other search engines have likewise evolved and are far more sophisticated than only appraising backlinks to decide rankings : they can see how long your visitors stay on your site, the number of web pages they browse, and in general how much of an interesting resource your site is.
And all the same, naturally backlinks are still fundamental to set rankings, and so you must make your site a superb resource that people feel compelled to link to.
If you can’t wait weeks and weeks to get decent rankings in the search engines, you can apply PPC (Pay Per Click) campaigning. This is a bidding scheme where you bid a particular cost for each time the ad is clicked on. The amount one bids for is dependent on the keyword(s) that actually activate the displaying of your ad in the search engine results pages. Keywords are fundamental to the targeting of the people that click on your adverts, and so Pay Per Click is a wonderful method to discover the best keywords (the ones that make you sales) and those that aren’t effective. If you are equipped with such data, you can then concentrate on those keywords in your SEO campaign as well.
It’s a good idea to hire a managed pay per click service provider first, and gain knowledge and experience from their strategies. In this way you’re not merely putting your website in the hands of professional people, you can also gain experience from them as well. To add to that, you should ensure you take on an SEO service provider who are local to you. Simply type in some words like SEO + your city, for example seo midlands. Why? Search engine marketing is a very nuanced skill, therefore it’s a wise move to get to know your Search engine marketing service provider you employ, and there’s no substitute for person-to-person meetings to talk over the finer points.

One of the key things to remember when developing your web-site presence is to always evaluate your competition. See what’s working for them; how they market their products and services, and even evaluate their KEYWORD and DISCRIPTION tags.
The key points of using these two Meta Tags, is optimization!
Evaluate your Keywords: look at your web-site and evaluate it services and products, be sure to do a search in www.Google.com to help you pick the keywords that your potential clients may be looking for.
The next thing is to evaluate your site content to see just how often you’re using these keywords, the biggest mistake that web-masters make is creating their Meta Tag Description and Keywords and not including them in their content pages.
To get the best results, is to ensure that you use as many of your keywords and discretion tags throughout your entire site.
The next thing is your products or images, be sure to include some of those keywords in your <*IMG ALT=*"" Tag, this to will help you optimize your site, and increase more frequent visits from spider bots.
Google, Yahoo, and Msn all use the following tags:
Be sure to include these in your Meta Tag, as it tells spider bots to search links to other pages on your site, increasing your chance of getting better indexed in the search engines.
The next key point is to also ensure you have created page titles for each section of your site, this is another mistake most make and they usually brand each page with their site name, the mistake is that, when your potential client types in to Google for a specific item or product you lesson your chances on being pulled up.
Name each section of your site using the Keywords you developed for your web-site, this ensuring higher page ranking in Google, and you not being found within the first returned results but ending up on page 15 etc.
Google looks also for inbound links, these being partner web-sites that have agreed to become a link partner or affiliate of your site.
Also update your content regularly, Google loves content, content, content, the more rich content you provide using your keywords the better you page rankings will be. The best method we found is to update your pages 2 to 3 times a week, for example Monday, Wednesday and again Sunday.
Thus ensuring the Google spider-bot will return regularly as so will your potential clients, as visitors are most likely to visit a web-site that is updated with new and interesting topics or items.
Now use Google, and do a search for your competition, within the first page results returned looked for potential link partners, which offer the same resources or products as you.
Contact the administrator or web-master simply asking them to link exchange with you. Most sites already offer a link exchange program or an affiliate program. These are perfect ways to create inbound links to your site that have already established Google page rank.
List your site in Link Directories that offer a specific category for your services, these are also excellent ways to create inbound links as the more inbound links you have generated to your web-site the higher the page rank in Google.
The key points to getting your site noticed is to optimize the keywords and use them threw out your site. Get quality link partners that have the same services or products you offer. The reason for this is if you link to a Tupper ware site and you offer fine wine, it isn’t going to do you much good as there is no common denominator. List your sites in Link Directories that offer a specific category that best fits your site content and services.

Step 3 Rate Your Sub Topics
Determine the Importance of all your Sub Topics. Rate the Sub Topics from 1 to 10 with 1 Lowest and 10 Highest. It is ok to give the same rating to more then 1 Sub-Topic. Try not to give all the sub Topics the same rating.
(You will Repeat Steps 4 to 7 for as Many sub-topics
as you can. Working from highest rated to lowest rated
it is a good idea to completely finish 1 Sub Topic Before
going on to the next sub topic)
Step 4 Find Articles for Your Sub Topic
Ideally your goal should be to find 10 or more Articles
per Sub Topic. For Topics Rated 7 or Higher You may
want to find 15-20 Articles. For Topics Rated less then
5 fewer Articles maybe 5-7 are ok. Topics Rated 1 or 2 may have
even fewer Articles or none at All.

Yes, it really happens. Now you might find it hard to believe but
you will understand after I explain.
Prior to late 2004, Google undisputedly ruled the search engine
world. During the second half of the year things took a dramatic
turn when Yahoo and MSN decided to challenge the Big G for some
of their lucrative market share.
Search engines are a big source of revenue especially when it
comes to advertising and for many this is their bread and butter.
With the emerging prominence of both Yahoo and MSN, advertisers
have more channels through which to advertise their goods and
services.
What marks Google apart from it’s two big rivals in this area is
the way they display their ads. They deliver their ads through a
system called Adwords which is unobtrusive to viewers. The ads
are placed to the right to clearly distinguish them from the
search results. Occasionally they will place ads above the SERPS.
Overture is the company which handles the placement of ads for
both Yahoo and MSN. Now if you should search for a popular
keyword in either of them, you will notice that the ads are above
the results, to your right and at the bottom of the page just
above the Next button. This is where it gets interesting.
Having the privilege of working in a public computer lab, I
decided to run some experiments. When customers came in and
requested information on various topics I instructed them to use
Yahoo or MSN for their search enquiries. The first one looked for
“bridal gowns” and another looked for “tourism in Jamaica”. In
both cases they click on the first available information which of
course is the relevant ads displayed.
I continued my experiment for a week and came to a decisive
conclusion. Some search engines are selling our traffic right
under our noses! The only time I observed the top ranking
websites getting regular click through was when the keywords are
not that competitive to involve ad placement.
This leads me to question the quality of traffic one receives
from Yahoo and MSN. For every visitor you receive what is the
ratio for that which you lose to a sponsored result? And what is
the use of optimizing your website for them?
Now mind you, I enjoy a few good rankings on both Yahoo and MSN
but they are for keywords that are not that too competitive. For
these I enjoy consistent traffic flow but I think that the
quality is something to take another look at.
I didn’t write this to bash these guys on how they choose to do
their business particularly how they choose to place their ads.
My aim is to point out to you that while you may enjoy a top ten
result on Yahoo and MSN, chances are you are not getting the
amount of visitors you should and could receive.

Contrary to the claims of high-priced SEO firms, optimizing your
web site for search engines is not brain surgery. But you
must first accept the fact that “spiders” - the search engine
programs that read web pages - run away from non-HTML code.
This is why the first thing any SEO expert does - before
researching keywords or rewriting your copy - is look at your
web site code.
If your web pages are full of Javascript, graphical navigation
buttons, Flash animation, and other glitzy stuff, your odds
of ranking high in the search engines sink like a stone.
The spiders may never even find your site, let alone start
adding your pages to their search results.
You say you just can’t give up those cool Javascript menus
or that glitzy Flash intro? Then be prepared to get shunned
by the search engines. Spiders are good at only two things:
reading basic HTML and finding text. If your sites throw
obstacles in their path, resign yourself to obscurity
- and poverty!
The most important SEO secret you will ever grasp is
incredibly simple. Your web site must be built so spiders
can read your text. The text is where the gold is.
This means no Flash animations. Your HTML must be plain
and clean. Your graphics must be kept to a minimum.
And links should always be text - not Javascript buttons
or drop-down menus.
Millions of dollars are wasted trying to outfox the
search engines. People everywhere scramble from gimmick to
gimmick to be #1 for a general search term like “weight loss.”
Sometimes they even manage to do it - for about 10 minutes.
Then one little tweak by Google … and they’re back to #8,734.
The lesson? Neither you, nor any analytical tool,
nor any automatic site submission service, nor any SEO guru,
can manipulate Google for long! Google employs too many
brilliant engineers. Their minds collectively focus on one
task - to make Google results as relevant as possible.
These people invent Google’s algorithm - a mathematical formula
that decides your rank.
The algorithm is impartial. The algorithm is complex.
The algorithm - not a human being - decides your page rank.
Given the millions of web sites on “weight loss,”
your odds of outsmarting the algorithm to get a #1 spot
are ludicrously small. So instead of spending money on
SEO gimmicks, invest in educating yourself so you can work
harmoniously WITH the search engines.
Instead of trying to manipulate the search engines, build a site
that doesn’t FIGHT them. Avoid questionable gimmicks, but
embrace search engine friendly techniques to get yourself ranked
high for almost any keyword you wish. For more information
